Midwinter Light Juried Exhibition

This show features 39 local artist and 75 pieces of art.   The quality and scope of the artwork is breathtaking! It was not required that pieces submitted be of a religious nature but much of it is deeply spiritual and moving and shows a longing in us to express and share our relationship to the Divine.

Join us Saturday, February 1st from 6-9 PM for the opening reception and to meet the artists.

Day of Recollection
“Seeing God: Fra Angelico’s Visual Lectio Divina”

Mass at 8 am plus 2 Talks. In association with the Aquinas Society.

Presenter Fr. Gabriel Torretta, O.P. will demonstrate how great art can be both the fruit and the source of divine contemplation, focusing on the work and the life of the patron saint of artists, Dominican friar, Blessed Fra Angelico!

Coffee and pastries will be served following the 8 a.m. Mass. The Day of Recollection will end by noon.

MORE THAN DRUMS
the Exciting World of Percussion!

David Fishlock, principal percussionist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and CSO colleague Richard Jensen present an exciting and entertaining glimpse into the world of percussion. Through talk and performance, the musicians will feature their wide-ranging variety of instruments while delighting us with their skilled performance. Join us for this unique opportunity, and get ready for a great show!

Film Screening with Filmmaker Cristian Murphy

The film, itself a work of art, showcases 5 distinct artists in “portrait film mode”. Each artist shares his her vocational story and allows the viewer to connect this to their own story. Come meet the filmmaker and see this heartfelt, meditative, inspiring work about the intersections of Faith and Art-making!
